The Who Of Faith -Sunday Celebration 4-3-16…..The “What of Faith” won’t work until your faith is based on the “Who of Faith”

Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

(Acts 26:18 KJV) To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Colossians 1:27-28 KJV To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

I want you see in the word of God how we are instructed to do what Jesus and God our Father desires for us to do, to be and to have, and how Satan through religion deceives believer by distorting the word of God. ( Eph 1:3, Heb 11:1, Rom 8:24,25)

Religion Vs. Freedom

(Isaiah 29:13 GNB) The Lord said, “These people claim to worship me, but their words are meaningless, and their hearts are somewhere else. Their religion is nothing but human rules and traditions, which they have simply memorized.

Religion purports (the intended meaning of a communication) to help a person to live self controlled life that is repentant of the sin that so easily defeats us and is caused by the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life.

1 John 2:16-17 KJV For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

(Galatians 4:9 AMP) Now, however, that you have come to be acquainted with and understand and know [the true] God, or rather to be understood and known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and beggarly and worthless elementary things [of all religions before Christ came], whose slaves you once more want to become?10 You observe [particular] days and months and seasons and  years!

(2 Peter 3:15 AMP) And consider that the long-suffering of our Lord [His slowness in avenging wrongs and judging the world] is salvation (that which is conducive to the soul’s safety), even as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the spiritual insight given him, 16 Speaking of this as he does in all of his letters. There are some things in those [epistles of Paul] that are difficult to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist and misconstrue to their own utter destruction, just as [they distort and misinterpret] the rest of the Scriptures. 17 Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things
beforehand
, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind].18 But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)!

(2 Peter 1:2 KJV) Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hosea 4:6 KJV “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, ….”(Hosea 4:1-19 Amp)

The How of Faith – Sunday Celebration Service – April 24th, 2016

AS we start to look at the how of faith, keep in mind that faith is not something you do to get God to do something, that is works and religion. Faith is your positive response to what God has done by Grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest  any man should boast.

Religion falsely preaches and teaches that faith moves God. When Jesus said it is finished, He Jesus went into  Hell defeated Satan, took the keys to death and hell, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven and sit down at the right hand of the power of God. The truth is that Faith does not and will not move God or get God to do anything. God is at resting.

God was rested from all His works on the seventh day and both God the Father and our Lord Jesus will remain at rest until all of Jesus’ enemies are made His foot stool by the body of Christ. God is not moved by faith. God was moved (past tense) by loved to supply all our need (salvation) by Grace. Grace is the power of God to obtain (receive) by Faith all that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have provided to meet our every need. Thank You Jesus.

Ephesians 1:17-23 KJV That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (19) And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (20) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, (21) Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (22) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  (23) Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 2:6 KJV And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

The What of Faith gives us access to the How of Faith.

            Faith is Access

(Romans 5:2 KJV) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

How does faith work?

(Galatians 5:6 KJV) For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

(1 John 4:8 KJV) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

(Mark 11:22 KJV) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

(Ephesians 3:12 KJV) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

(Galatians 5:6 AMP) For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision(Jew) nor uncircumcision(Gentile)
counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

How does love activate, energize, express and cause faith to work? It is a HEART matter!

(Romans 10:9 AMP) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

(Romans 10:10 AMP) For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

(Hebrews 3:12 KJV) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

(Luke 6:45 KJV) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

(Romans 10:6 KJV) But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

(Romans 10:8 KJV) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

(2 Timothy 2:22 KJV) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

(Hebrews 10:22 KJV) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

(Mark 5:36 KJV) As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

(Luke 8:50 AMP) But Jesus, on hearing this, answered him, Do not be seized with alarm or struck with fear; simply believe [in Me as able to do this], and she shall be made well.

(Mark 11:22 KJV) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

(Matthew 24:4 KJV) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

(Ephesians 5:6 KJV) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

(2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

(1 John 3:7 KJV) Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

The Old Testament prayer and mind set is still being practiced and believed in the church today. All the prayers prior to Acts 2, were always conditional and “I will if you do.” The New Testament promises are always based on what Jesus has done and because of Jesus all the promises of God are yes and Amen.

(2 Corinthians 1:20 AMP) For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.

If someone ask you how they could get some faith like you have, what would you tell them?

    Ans.: Rom 10:17

Romans 10:17 AMP  (17) So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that
came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

If someone ask you how they can use their faith, what would you tell them:

Ans.:  Romans 14:23 AMP  (23) But the man who has doubts (misgivings, an uneasy conscience) about eating, and then eats [perhaps     because of you], stands condemned [before God], because he is not true to his convictions and he does not act from faith. For whatever does not originate and proceed from faith is sin [whatever is done without a conviction of its approval by God is sinful].
