“ GOD’S LOVE ”“α”

Jesus is the personification of the “Love of God!” The written Word of God, the spoken Word of God, and the living Word of God all reveal the love of God for God is Love. God lets you know that you are able to love because He first loved you. The only place that you can find a true definition of love is in the Word of God. 1 John chapter four verse nine and ten define love and how God demonstrated His Love and proved His Love for you. 1Jn 4:9 AMP In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

1Jn 4:10 AMP In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation(the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

Dictionaries fail to define love for the love of God can only be understood by personal experience. Man’s definition of love is always self centered. Mankind does not have the mental ability to understand love for God is love and man’s finite mind cannot comprehend an infinite God or His infinite love. Man can only start to comprehend the love of God with his heart.

1Jn 4:8 KJV He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Eph 3:17-19 KJV That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Eph 3:19 AMP [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

Gal 5:22 KJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Why does God describe His Love? The answer: so you will know you can trust Him and obey Jesus’ command for us to love each other.

Joh 13:34 KJV A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:15 KJV For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Eph 5:2 KJV And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

2Jn 1:5-6 KJV “. . . but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.” 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
