Now we are light, walk as children of light.
Eph 5:8 AMP For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [lead the lives of those native-born to the Light].
Col 2:9-10 KJV For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete(G4137 perfect)in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
When we set our hearts on walking as children of light, we will walk and talk as children of light. It’s a heart matter!
Pro 4:20-24 NLT My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, 22 for they bring life to those who find hem, and healing to their whole body. 23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. 24 Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.
Rom 10:8 KJV But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
One of the best reasons you will ever find for going to Church and Bible Studies is found in Proverbs chapter 4, verses 20 to 24. Church service and Bible Studies are where you should be hearing and studying the Word of God, which is the Word of Life and Word of Healing. Hearing and paying attention to the Word of God will give you a vibrant healthy life. Jesus said that he came to give us the God quality of life and His word will give us life and health just by hearing and attending to what we hear. In verse 23, we are instructed to guard our heart above everything else and the way to guard our heart is with the armor of God. In the epistle to the Ephesians we are given the armor of God. So we can guard our hearts by never taking off the breastplate of righteousness provided by God and spoken of
in chapter 6, verse 14.
Eph 6:14 KJV Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
The breastplate of righteousness protects us from speaking perversely. We are using perverse speech when we say we are sick when the Word of God says we are healed. Or to say we are poor when God’s Word says we are rich, to say we are sinners when God’s word says we are righteous or to say we are condemned when God’s word says there is no condemnation to us who are in Christ Jesus.
1Pe 2:24 Murdock And he took away all our sins, and, in his body, lifted them to the cross; that we, when dead to sin, might live by his righteousness: for by his wounds, ye are healed.
2Co 8:9 AMP For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).
2Co 5:21 MKJV For He has made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we
might become the righteousness of God in Him.
