Protecting Your Harvest

Jesus warns us in the parables that there are threats to our harvesting what we sow.

Mat 13:24-30 AMP Another parable He set forth before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while he was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed also darnel (weeds resembling wheat) among the wheat, and went on his way. 26 So when the plants sprouted and formed grain, the darnel (weeds) appeared also. 27 And the servants of the owner came to him and said, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then how does it have darnel shoots in it? 28 He replied to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Then do you want us to go and weed them out? 29 But he said, No, lest in gathering the wild wheat (weeds resembling wheat), you root up the [true] wheat along with it. 30 Let them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will say to the reapers, Gather the darnel first and bind it in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my granary.

Jesus explained that the Devil is the enemy that sows the weeds to distract you and focus your attention on the Devil’s works rather than letting the word of our Father God grow until you harvest the fruit of your sowing.

Mat 13:37-41 KJV He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Jesus said in Matt 13:30 “Let them grow together…..”. We are instructed to let the good seed, which is the Word of God and the lies of Satan grow together. The Word of God when studied will grow stronger when studied and the lies of Satan will grow weaker. As you continue in your study of the word you will come to know the truth and the truth that
you know will free you from the unbelief and lies poured forth by Satan through the traditions of religion.

1Pe 2:2 KJV As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2Pe 3:18 AMPBut grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ….

Eph 4:15 KJV But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:

Joh 8:32 KJV And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

God has provided His Grace which is “Jesus the Living Word,” “Jesus the Written Word” and “Jesus the Spoken Word” for us to use to harvest all the blessings of:
