Jesus tells you that Knowledge of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, which is God’s way of doing things right, was so important that seeking this knowledge should have your highest priority and be the first thing you do.

Matthew 6:33 KJV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The most important events in anyone’s life is being born again, receiving eternal life, being transferred from the Kingdom of darkness into Jesus’ Kingdom and adopted into the family of God, all of which comes about through faith.

Romans 10:8-10 GNB What it says is this: “God’s message is near you, on your lips and in your heart“—that is, the message of faith that we preach. 9 If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. 10 For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.

The Gospel of Christ, the good news, is that we have been made right with God! Satan has caused a controversy to arise in the church concerning what it means to be right with God. The best way to avoid any controversy concerning your righteousness is to study the word of God and base your belief in the scriptures.

Here are some of the things the Word of God has to say about your righteousness.

You have been made righteous by God and God’s Word says that in Christ you are not only right with God you are His very own righteousness.

2Co 5:21 GNB Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.

Rom 4:5 AMP But to one who, not working [by the Law], trusts (believes fully) in Him Who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (the standing acceptable to God).

Rom 3:22 AMP Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,

Rom 5:17 AMP For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
