In Hebrews chapter twelve verse two we are instructed to look to Jesus who has given us faith and is the finisher of our faith as we consider Him.

Heb 12:2-32 KJV Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

We are informed in Chapter ten of Hebrews that if we believe Jesus is the prefect sacrifice for sin we would no longer have any consciousness of sin. God desires if for us to be conscious of our righteousness which was purchased with the blood of Jesus.

Heb 10:2 AMP For if it were otherwise, would [these sacrifices] not have stopped being offered? Since the worshipers had once for all been cleansed, they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin.

To consider Jesus is to consider the Word of God which reveals the unfailing love of God for us. God will not let us lose this race. God saw to it that Jesus ran the race for us. Jesus received a crown of thorns so that we could receive a victorious crown of blessed righteousness.

The book of Ephesians says we are complete. What do you do to something when it is complete? After the work is done, it is time to rest, relax and celebrate. In Ephesians chapter two verse six, we are seated with Christ in Heaven because “It is Finished ” and we are resting in Him.

In Ephesians chapter two verse seven, we learn that God did what He did so that in the ages to come everyone would know it was because of His love for us and His kindness and goodness toward us that He blessed us in Christ Jesus. By pure grace God saves us and brings us into the relationship with Him that He desired for us when He created mankind. He accomplished His plan by recreating us in His Son Christ Jesus. He did this so that we could walk the paths of the good life He predestined us to walk before He began the beginning. God has done in Christ Jesus all He set out to do for us when He created mankind.

Eph 2:6-10 AMP And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; 9 Not because of works[not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] 10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

According to the scriptures we are children of God and members of His household called to imitate Him by walking in love and living by faith and believing that we have been made right with Him because of Jesus.
